Choosing the right Lumbar and Neck Support

  1. Determine your back type (Table no. 1)
  2. Choose the type of backrest (Table no. 2)
  3. Determine the depth of your neck (Table no. 3)

Table no. 1 - Determine your back type

Flat Back

Test standing against the wall:

  • In a standing position
  • Back up against the wall
  • keeping your back straight
  • Your buttocks and shoulders touch the wall
  • Pass your fingers/hand between the wall and your lower back.

When your back and shoulder blades are pressed against the wall, you can only pass your fingers.

Curved Back

Test standing against the wall:

  • In a standing position
  • Back up against the wall
  • eeping your back straight
  • Your buttocks and shoulders touch the wall
  • Pass your fingers/hand between the wall and your lower back

When your back and shoulder blades are pressed against the wall, you can pass your hand and more.

Curved & Generous Back

Test standing against the wall:

  • In a standing position
  • Back up against the wall, keeping your back straight
  • Stop when your buttocks first touches the wall

When your buttocks are against the wall, and there is still a fairly large gap between your shoulder blades and the wall.

The backrest is considered flat or firm if when placing a pillow or a large cushion you feel pushed too far forward.

Soft and hollow backrest

The backrest is considered soft and hollow if you are in the habit of adding a pillow or a large cushion.

Table no. 3 - Determine the depth of your neck

Test with a towel

place a rolled towel (about 3 inches in diameter) behind your neck, as if it were the cervical support...

The Small size should work for you if the rolled towel is enough to fill the gap between your neck and the backrest

The Large size should suit you, if the rolled towel is too small to fill the gap between your neck and the backrest
